Quotes contain details about bookings such as the account information, contact for the booking, guest rooms blocked, function rooms, commissions, packages and more. Here are some of the latest updates to help you manage your bookings more effectively and efficiently.
Updates were made to the Change Dates option on the Quote menu to ensure that block dates are canceled and/or created as needed.
We are excited to announce that you can now add Combo Products to Quotes and Quote Packages! A combo product is a collection of elements sold together but represented on the package as a single package line. Learn more about combo products here.

Added to packages
Added to Quotes via Quote Packages or Quote Products
Cloned via the Clone tab on a quote
Clone with a quote via the Clone Quote button
Added to reports
There were several product updates to enhance the two clone features for a quote:
Quote Clone Tab - the clone tab is used to select all or part of records related to the quote and clone them onto other days on the same quote.
Commissions are recalculated on the quote when the clone tab is used to clone combo products that are commissionable
When quote package is cloned via the clone tab, the quote package dates are now created as well, which enables more detailed reporting and analytics
Thynk captures all changes to Quotes with an audit trail. When records are added to the quote or modified on the quote, new history records are added to this audit trail. We’ve made updates to ensure that records added to the quote via the clone tab are also included in the audit trail.
Clone Quote button - copying a quote via the Clone Quote button allows users to jumpstart the quote creation process by cloning a quote and all its related records, keeping prices, pax, etc. the same as the original quote.
We enhanced this feature to ensure that the new dates selected for the cloned quote are applied to all related records.
Two-way integrations with PMS providers ensure that your data is always up-to-date and clean. We include integration with Oracle Opera, Mews and StayNTouch. As you share your feedback, we continue to optimize the experience and take advantage of new features that our partners are releasing on their roadmap. Here are some of the features we have added to the Thynk platform to create a seamless experience where you can do your work in Thynk and trust that data is flowing with your other systems.
Opera Integration Updates
For the Opera integration, PMS Accounts are created for all accounts that exist in Opera. These PMS Accounts can then be linked to Accounts in Thynk. We’ve updated the relationship between these accounts so that:
While a single account can be related to many PMS Accounts, we’ve added a check to ensure that only one PMS Account is ever tagged as the Primary one.
We’ve enhanced the Reservation Guest creation process on the Myce Quote.
We’ve updated the pricing calculation so that category pricing is used where applicable. We’ve also ensured that if an interval is missing a category price the calculations still run successfully. These changes are reflected in Group Booking and when adding quote hotel rooms directly to the quote
You now have the ability to send reservations and upload a rooming lists!
Once a quote is confirmed, Thynk will generate reservations and send them to Opera PMS.
When you receive a rooming list for a quote, you can generate a rooming list and upload it complete with guest names right into the Thynk platform.
We have added new features to support Mews’ newly released Availability Blocks functionality, which enables you to set aside a fixed set of your inventory (rooms/beds/space) for a specific date range and rate. You can read more below about what was added or changed to support group block integration with Mews.
Block rate prices in Thynk are now set according to tax settings from the property
The word updated is no longer appended to the room block name to avoid confusion.
We enhanced our integration with the Mews availability adjustments functionality to ensure the data is kept synchronized
Reservation names modified in Mews will no longer be overwritten by updates to the quote in Thynk
PMS Blocks are used to set aside inventory by creating reservation blocks in your PMS. We’ve enabled additional features to sync blocks to ensure that reservations are accurate and up to date. These include:
Reservation dates are now updated to reflect the change in the number of rooms or days on a reservation.
If the number of rooms decreases, reservations are canceled or updated to reflect the changes.
If the number of rooms increases, existing reservations will be modified to reflect new dates or new records will be created.
Canceled blocks and reservations are now reflected in the PMS.
Room type will be derived from the property that is associated with the PMS block when multiple properties are present.
The pricing calculation has been optimized for occupancy pricing on PMS Blocks.
Room blocks can no longer be updated while associated reservations are pending to avoid system discrepancies.
